About Clarion

The Clarion is published quarterly by the International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN). ICAN is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).

A clarion is a type of medieval trumpet with clear tones. As an adjective, clarion means brilliantly clear, extremely loud.
